Jacqui Greenwood - Studio director

Studio director Jacqui Greenwood has been teaching for 3 years full time at most of the Bikram Yoga schools across Melbourne.

Before Bikram Yoga Jacqui was an averred Vinyasa and Ashtanga yoga practitioner when living in Byron Bay. Discovering the amazing benefits of ‘Yoga’ she was close to signing onto a Teacher Training in Byron Bay. But her and husband Ben decided that they wanted to move back to Melbourne. Jacqui frantically tried to look for the closest studio and it was Bikram Yoga she stumbled across.
After her first class back in 2005 she new instantly that this yoga was going to play a big part in her life. For one and a half years she saved her pennies to attend the Teacher Training in Hawaii, Spring 2007.Being only 24 years old at the time she was unsure of her career path, but this was the first thing that ever felt right.

Opening a studio was always something she aspired to and her dream did come true 3 years later owning Bikram Yoga Peninsula.

Jacqui has also competed twice in the Australian Yoga Asana Championships in 2008 placing 4th and 2009 placing 2nd. Placing 2nd enabled her to represent Australia and compete at international level in LA 2010. Out of 30 women she placed 11th in the world missing out by .2 points to place in the top 10.

She is extremely passionate about the yoga and through this she hopes to build a strong Bikram Yoga Community on the Peninsula.

Her and Ben (who is also an averred practitioner) have moved from Melbourne and can’t wait to live their life down on the beach doing Yoga!
