Bikram the original Hot Yoga was founded by Yogiraj Bikram Choudhury. It's a scientifically designed style of yoga taught by certified Bikram yoga Teachers who use Bikram Choudhury's trademark dialogue. This teaches each student to listen, keeps the class moving together and quiets the mind to maintain stillness. Consisting of a demanding sequence of 26 postures(asanas) and 2 breathing exercises(pranayamas) , performed in a room heated to 40 degree Celsius to provide a full body work-out.

Sequenced to systematically stimulate the body's internal organs and glands as well as pump fresh oxygenated blood to all parts of the body, Bikram Yoga will also strengthen and tone the muscles helping you to increase your focus and concentration!

The 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises will also help you combat a variety of afflictions – from stress and insomnia to arthritis and back pain – and maintain exceptional health for years to come. Suitable for all fitness levels, shapes and sizes Bikram Yoga also prevents injuries and aid in the healing of injuries.

It is done in a heated room to warm your muscles, allowing for a deeper workout, this process cleanses and flushes the body of toxins. The heat from the work-out promotes detoxification through sweating and limits the effects of ageing .Each posture are completed twice. The first set warms the body up and the second set enables you to work deeper. Mirrors are used to observe the body objectively, improving body awareness and refining alignment. The constant eye contact with yourself reinforces the process as an open eyed moving mediation.
